See You AFTER The Pole Student Testimonies!

On the 4th Wednesday of September this year students gathered across the Wichita community at their school flagpoles for See You At The Pole. That evening was See You AFTER The Pole in which we added a WEST location. This is so exciting – over 850 students in total from  EAST and WEST locations came together to participate in Praise, Student Testimony and Prayer. I thought the Student Testimonies were especially powerful this year. Here is some of the highlights from those students:

“I grew up knowing that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. I’ve participated in Fellowship of Christian Athletes since middle school. It has been encouraging to see that there are other Christian students that love Jesus and want to worship him as much as I do. In High School I became a leader in FCA which is a cool experience to be able to influence other students. School is a dark place but our FCA is a place that is a reminder of who Jesus is and how much He loves us.”  Claire – Rose Hill HS

“In 6th grade I was challenged by my youth pastor to start a student-led Bible Study. I was able to use the room of my friend’s Dad – who is a teacher at my school. I talked to the principal and she was overjoyed at the request. We then spread the word and told everyone we knew. We have about a dozen people coming. I wanted to encourage them and dig deeper with these students as we learn more about Jesus Christ. If you are wondering if you can do the same – it’s really just a a matter of getting it done, not being scared, but just starting it up. It is a great thing to encourage others and help them to follow Christ and help them to understand what Jesus Christ is all about.”  Joshua – Andover Central MS

“I first wanted to start a Bible Study in the 6th Grade. My friends didn’t think anyone would come. I still decided to do it. I think it’s great that these students have a community to come to. I want them to know that they are not alone in their faith. If you want to start a Bible Study I would defiantly say – go for it. It is so rewarding. If you are wanting to join a Bible study but not sure about it because you may not go to church. You should absolutely come. You are so welcomed to come.” Claire – Maize South MS

NOTE: Just last week Claire gave a clear gospel presentation from Romans 5 at the Bible study and two students put their faith in Christ!
