“Being a student leader I have learned a lot about evangelism. Evangelism doesn’t only involve public outreaches. Evangelism can be reaching out to the people in your inner circle that are yet to encounter Christ. Through Campus Life I learned how to approach someone who has no knowledge of the gospel or even the Bible. I also learned how to disciple others while being a disciple – keeping your eyes on Jesus.
Advice I would give to upcoming student leaders is to invest in your own personal relationship with God. A lot of times in the Bible, during the ministry of Jesus, he constantly secluded himself to pray. I know balancing school and all the extra curricular activities can get overwhelming – believe me I have been there! But when you choose to still prioritize Him, everything else will fall in place “seek FIRST the kingdom of God and His righteous and all these things will be added to you” – Matthew 6:33. When you do this as you lead others in the study of the Word you will have so much better of an understanding of the Word and the Holy Spirit will give you the words to say.” Teresa – North HS
