If you are thinking about being a part of a Campus Bible Group at your school I would obviously encourage you to do so! It’s an awesome way to meet and build relationships with other Christians at your school. A Campus Bible Group also encourage you in your faith and help you grow deeper in your relationship with God as well as challenges you to be a missionary in your school and shine God’s light.
If you are thinking about being a leader I would encourage you to pray and ask God if He is laying it on your heart. Leading a group requires time and can be challenging but is very rewarding because of the impact it will have on your faith and your relationships with the students in the group. Another way I have found it rewarding that isn’t what you normally think about is that it has improved my own leadership skills immensely. Those leadership skills will be valuable for the rest of my life. Staying organized, communicating, talking in front of others, making decisions ahead of the time and on the spot, getting out of your comfort zone, setting an example through words and actions and encouraging others are some ways I have been stretched and tested as a result of being a Campus Group Leader. Don’t be afraid to step up to the plate and become a leader if you feel it’s what God is calling you to do!
