“I took a few things away from the Equip Retrain Conference. Namely, I learned the importance of letting someone read the scripture themself and through your questions they will begin to process and  internalize the gospel. This excites and challenges me because in the past I was telling them what I know – but it would be so much better if through my questions they ended up telling me what they know and understand of the whole gospel message found in Romans 6:23 & John 3:16. “My take away from Equip Retrain was that to share the gospel you must be compassionate and merciful. The way that he put it in the sense that  we’re just having a conversation and showing other people a joy that they may have never experienced before. With that, we should also be respectful if they don’t feel completely open to engage in conversation; but always make sure they say yes or no.
