Northwest HS students Prayer Walk their campus!

Student Leaders Speak

What could happen when students decide to move out into the hallways and classrooms of their school? What if they Prayer Walked those hallways and classrooms in the early morning hours before most students had arrived? This is the plan that Hanna and Anna (leaders at Northwest HS Campus Bible/Prayer Group) had for an ordinary Wednesday morning when they usually gather to study God’s Word, pray for one another and their campus. They began the morning with five minutes in private prayer and silence to prepare themselves. Next Anna and Hanna explain that they were going to Prayer Walk their school praying at classrooms for the teachers and students represented there. Students were sent out in pairs to pray for each classroom at their school. Students were encouraged to ask teachers that were in their classroom how they could pray for them.

Here is some of the responses from students who prayed that morning:

One of the teacher’s father was not doing well health wise, so we prayed for him and afterwards this teacher seemed much happier – like it gave her peace.

There was an overwhelming love from God covering our school with peace and healing.

I thought it was awesome when we went to teachers and they were open about their problems and what they needed prayer for.

The last teacher I prayed for seemed to be caught off guard and didn’t have a prayer request but he responded to us with such emotion that it was really encouraging.

Some teachers did not have a request that we could pray for but at the end of our time we actually found a teacher that was a Christian.

It was great to be able to pray for teachers and love on them at school.
